TrueTrac Pro-Series 4' Starter Kit

First let me start by saying overall I love this tool. One thing that I would suggest to anyone looking at buying, get the clamps!! I have read and they say the clamps are not needed. However, the first thing I cut with it was an expensive butcher block counter top. I just about ruined it because it slid on me. Thankfully I bought the clamps. I readjusted, clamped and made the cut. From now on I always clamp the workpiece. It’s not worth risking an expense sheet of birch plywood, etc. Very simple to put together and use. I have two other friends in construction and they are ordering one as well. It is a very good alternative to the expensive track saw. Here is a picture of some closet built in I just finished. All cuts were with the TruTrac.

I finished a 16 step stairway in my home with 1" oak treads and 3/4" oak risers using the TrueTrac 4' Starter Kit and the 24" Pro-Series Guide Rail and everything worked great!
This was my first time using a track system and there was no way I could have been as accurate using my old standby table saw and sliding miter saw. Plus I was able to use my own 7-1/4" Circular saw with the universal track and mounting plate. I highly recommend the TrueTrac Universal system guys, it takes a little time to mount to the plate - but once mounted it turns your old circular saw into a precision portable table saw! Way to go TrueTrac.

TrueTrac Pro-Series 4' Starter Kit

Purchased track system as I did not want to buy another power tool (trac saw). Quality of product is very good. Assembly was easy to adapt to my saw and it produces easy straight cuts. Inserts do tend to slide out of track a little easier than I would like but it is just part of the learning process. I used the trac primarily reworking my deck and cutting boards in place. No the that this will change your depth of cut for the saw. Still able to cut 1.5”. Good straight lines, Excellent instructions, easy ordering and Jacob is quick to answer any questions. Thank you.

I've always disliked using circular saws. The True Trac, however, has changed that, giving me the ability to make controlled and accurate cuts while reducing set-up time. I've been using the starter kit for the last couple of months to break down plywood and hardwoods. It also helped me to make precision bevel cuts on a furniture project and create straight edges for some jigs. Jacob provided great customer service when I was making a buying decision. For my purposes as a DYI-er and hobbyist woodworker, the True Trac was a good choice over buying a track saw.
