Cutting Capacities:

  • Length = 96 inches total, with 9 inches of overhang

Depth depends on the blade diameter in use.

The adapter plate and track will remove 3/4 of an inch from your overall depth of cut (DOC).

With an average 6-1/2 inch bladed saw your DOC is 1-1/8 inches

  • 7-1/4 blade = 1-1/2 inch material
  • 8-1/4 blade = 2 inch material
  • 10-1/4 blade = 3 inch material

The Universal Saw Adapter Plate comes in two sizes. The standard size is appropriate for any circular saw with a 6-1/2 inch to an 8-1/4 inch diameter blade. The larger saw adapter plate is designed for the 10-1/4 inch diameter saws.

The TrueTrac 8ft Combo Kit Includes the following:

  • One (1) 57 inch track
  • One (1) 48 inch track
  • Two (2) 57 inch length anti-chip strips, installed on track
  • Two (2) 48 inch length anti-chip strips, installed on track
  • One (1) Universal Saw Adapter Plate
  • One (1) Hardware packet (6 bolts, 6 nuts, L-shaped hex wrench)
  • One (1) Setup Jig
  • Two (2) dovetail connectors, with setscrews installed
  • One (1) Zero Clearance Block
  • Hard copy of installation instructions

I should've gotten this years ago

I had some questions on getting the adapter onto my baseplate on a Friday evening, and Jacob responded almost immediately. I was shocked and didn't think I'd hear anything until Monday afternoon. The dedication to customers is unreal.

As for the track kit, I should've gotten one years ago. Cuts are much faster, easier, and more accurate. I work out of my garage, and this is way better than hauling out a table saw and struggling with sheet goods. I absolutely recommend it.

Trutrack is not tru anymore

I have own the trutrack now for over 2 year and last night i went to make a cut wish i did and found out i was about a 1/16 off for some reason the white strip shrunk for 2 yeas the saw cut right on my line with no issue. What happend i take care my tools end my trutrack looks like i just pull it out of the box

Hi Luis,

The white edge strips are made from polyvinyl, the same blend as used in window frames. It's very unlikely that the strip changed dimensions and shrank.

The most common cause for misalignment between your saw's blade and where the strip is at is due to changing the blade of the saw from a thicker kerf to a thin kerf blade after the strip has been trimmed.

Alternatively, if your blade hasn't been changed, set the saw on the track with it unplugged and raise/lower the saw to different cutting depths. If the quadrant that controls the depth of cut on your saw has gotten bent it will pull or push the rear of the saw blade in or out relative to the track itself. For example at full depth of cut it may pull the blade inward, and then on thinner material when your saw isn't cutting as deep there may be a gap between the blade and the white anti-chip strip along the track.

The AC Strips are a wear item and will need to be replaced after roughly 2 years of consistent use. They are available individually by lengths of 24, 48, or 57 inches and range from $6 - $14.25 currently.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help out with!

Very happy with it.

An excellent product!

I am very happy with this track system. It all works well. The setup was a little time-consuming because my Makita cordless saw has a webbed baseplate with few places to drill holes. That's not Truetrac's fault. I would also appreciate some better quality hardware (screws, etc.). The stuff in the kit is pretty crusty and cheap. Stainless would be awesome.

Once I had it mounted and aligned, I trimmed the chip strip as instructed and made a few test cuts. I'm pretty impressed by how quick and easy it is to position the track and make a cut. I bought the clamps just to be sure it wouldn't slide around, but it's fairly rare that I need them.

One of my first jobs was to cut a bunch of panels of red cedar plywood. It's expensive, it loves to chip out, and I needed very precise cuts. The Truetrac worked perfectly and it was quick! The cuts were totally sharp and square with no chips or tear out.

This system is a little expensive, but it is well worth it! I know I'd probably charge the same or more if I produced something similar.

I’m impressed with the quality and simple design that makes any job I have of making a straight cut easy and professional!
I would also like to give two thumbs up for Jacob and his customer service! I messed up two of the dust catchers trying a 45 angle cut. Jacob replaced them immediately free of charge! Thanks Jacob!😀

This system is compatible with virtually any style of circular saw.

The top surface of the Universal Saw Adapter Plate (SAP) is flat and you will be required to custom drill mounting hole locations in both the SAP and the OEM metal base plate of your circular saw. There are no saws manufactured that include predrilled holes that are useful in this scenario.

We provide a machined Set Up Block (SUB) which is used to gauge the distance from the outside edge of the SAP to the body of your saw blade. This ensures paralleism between your saw blade and arbor and the machined grooves on the underside of the SAP, as well as setting the proper spacing so that the blade trims the white Anti-Chip Strips along the edge of the track.

View the entire process by visiting the Videos section of our website, in particular the Set Up & How-To category.

★★★★★

"When I researched this tool I saw some comments about the cost and whether it was worth the investment. No it’s not cheap - but neither is plywood. What I have saved on mis-cuts has more than offset the price." - J Watson

QUALITY THAT STANDS OUT FOR A LIFETIME

One of the biggest perks of making your own furniture, or projects that will be gifted, is that you're the one deciding the level of quality that you're satisfied with.

Our tools just make it easier for you to attain that level of craftmanship, without the requisite years of experience required to do something as simple as cut a straight line.

★★★★★

"Can't believe how much time I saved over marking, calculating the saw base to blade offset, and clamping a straight edge. Also, the track saw makes it darn near impossible to screw up ... have clamped the straight edge on the wrong side more times than I would like to admit!" - Dave Hardin
