The TrueTrac Router Gantry System (RGS) is an easy and accurate way to simultaneously surface and flatten live edge slabs, epoxy tables or counter tops, bar surfaces, table glue-ups, and much more!
With an industry-unique Threaded Cross Feed this system allows you complete and utter control over your handheld router, allowing you to bring the router to the work rather than the work to the router. Simply use the provided thumb screws to securely fasten the RGS Adapter Plate to the custom nuts on the threaded rod installed in the gantry rail. By turning the provided hand-crank, you may now accurately, safely, and easily index your router across the 'transverse' or 'bridge' of the gantry system.
This allows for consistent edge jointing capabilities with straight or fluted router bits, being able to produce equally spaced fluted columns or door frames using a ball-nose bit, rabbit cuts on large projects, and accurate dado grooves using standard sized bits.
Our 100% custom American-made and purpose designed heavy-duty extrusions are expandable to virtually any width or length desired and will easily support your 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 HP router without bending, bowing, warping, or twisting during normal use.
All sliding components are 100% CNC machined from Acetal Copolymer, also referred to as Delrin, which is an engineered plastic specifically designed for sliding friction applications and holds machining tolerances wonderfully.
Simply stated, our system is professionally designed and purposefully built to give you years of trouble-free use and is fully backed by our lifetime money-back guarantee.
The RGS is available in a variety of lengths and widths to suit your project needs and is always able to be expanded later.
RGS Adapter Plate comes pre-drilled for a variety of routers. Please see the list in the product photos. Blank plates with a 1/4" diameter hole pre-drilled in the center are available upon request via phone or email.
Such a great system. Really works great w my Triton and leaves the slab so much smoother than my previous set up. Greatly reduced my sanding times after flattening so I can get to the fun stuff! Great product and Jacob did a great job communicating during a supply chain issue. Higy recommend him and the product.
So far it has exceeded my expectations. Setup was straightforward and I got good results right out of the box that only improved as I got the fine details figured out. I have used it to mill all kinds of stock from 7 foot long 3 feet wide slabs to 26 inch diameter 4 inch thick rounds and more. Built a table and dust collector for it and worked out ways to clamp odd shapes without damage to live edges.
The gantry system is not just a poor mans large planer of sorts. It can do things a planer cannot. I can rout in cross dovetails in the backs of slabs to stabilize them and cut flutes in columns for example. Flatten the top, flip the slab, flatten the bottom, rout in cross dovetails and install them while the slab is still clamped. I can cut dovetails right across voids and even flatten and join two slabs together dead on true. I can also flatten very uneven stock how I want it to be cut not how it goes through the rollers. Take this off here and that off there to better line up the grain or other aspects.
Better and more adaptable than diy plywood setups. I use 3/4 plywood blocks to lift the system off the table to adjust to the thickness of the work. I have long 1/4-20 bolts that I can run up and slip in the spacers. My router / dust collector rig has about one inch of plunge. Set the rig to the high spot and mill away. The runners are stiff and stay true after hight adjustments. Remove a level of blocks as the work is lowered to the final depth. I can go from 1-1/2 final depth to 5 inches in 2 minutes.
The work stays put and the cutter moves. I can also work large 8’X3’x 9 quarter slabs from start to finish by myself, no in and out feed helpers and open floor space needed.
The table makes good flat surface area when the rig is not in use too. Dead flat setup and clamping area and wood glue flakes right off the melamine deck. I am a long time fabricator in wood, metal and plastics both milled and printed. I make tools and jigs as needed and I am happy I bought this machine.
I haven’t had a chance to use my mill yet. A good friend is using it to machine a 4in thick coffee table of antique barn lumber and epoxy. He had purchased a bigger more expensive product but never unboxed it when he learned I had your product. It has done an excellent job and he is very happy with the performance. Hope I get it back. I may need help mounting my Bosch router which I think is not a match for the mounting plate. I have had it for several years.
I honestly wish i knew about the True Trac Gantry System years ago. I absolutely love it, and now use it a couple times a week. Im not a person to leave reviews, but in this case i felt i needed too. When i first called i spoke with Amy, I told her i have checked out several other mill flattening systems. With that said: i asked her why i should purchase True Trac's ? Amy put me directly in touch with Jacob. Thats where it all began. Jacob is very sincere about his product and goes out of his way to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied. The true Trac threaded gantry system is a must have, It saves me hours of time on every piece..... Thank you, and most sincere, Glenn P.
