Plenty of good

Purchased track system as I did not want to buy another power tool (trac saw). Quality of product is very good. Assembly was easy to adapt to my saw and it produces easy straight cuts. Inserts do tend to slide out of track a little easier than I would like but it is just part of the learning process. I used the trac primarily reworking my deck and cutting boards in place. No the that this will change your depth of cut for the saw. Still able to cut 1.5”. Good straight lines, Excellent instructions, easy ordering and Jacob is quick to answer any questions. Thank you.

Confidence in Cutting

I've always disliked using circular saws. The True Trac, however, has changed that, giving me the ability to make controlled and accurate cuts while reducing set-up time. I've been using the starter kit for the last couple of months to break down plywood and hardwoods. It also helped me to make precision bevel cuts on a furniture project and create straight edges for some jigs. Jacob provided great customer service when I was making a buying decision. For my purposes as a DYI-er and hobbyist woodworker, the True Trac was a good choice over buying a track saw.

Can't blame my tools anymore....

I finally got around to making my first few cuts with the Truetrac. Making some precision cuts on MDF to fit a custom table stand. After setting up the Truetrac my first cuts were perfect. As were the cuts after that. Stacked up, all the pieces were nicely square and even. This is a really effective piece of equipment. Good job guys.

professional grade in every way

I am highly impressed. Everything about TrueTrac has been a pleasure. The summary of my experience so far is that the company is friendly, responsive and professional and the product is a serious piece of quality engineering.

They make sure you get what you want and follow up to ensure everything is to satisfaction.
I was especially struck by their integrity. One trivial piece was missing from my order and I emailed them. The response from Jacob was fast and to immediately sort things. I later had a technical question, which was answered quickly and in a manner that was helpful. Furthermore, the product descriptions are accurate and honest. They say for instance that the dust collector will help but not remove all the dust. My experience is that their estimate of its efficiency is pretty accurate.
One piece of advise - listen carefully to the video instructions. The safety procedures work and provide for a precise result. I did not follow it for one chipguard and had their predicted outcome. Also, if you have a 6.5 inch circular saw, watch the installation video to the end before setting up as there is helpful advise I wish I had listened to - my fault for rushing in, albeit I still ended up with a well set saw that cuts a perfect line.

Excellent product

Saves me a lot of time. Once it's all set up with your saw easy to use. I have a small shop and can't have a big table saw or work bench so this TrueTrac is a great tool. There's no measuring angles, just put the TrueTrac on the marks and go for it. I wish I would have gotten this a long time ago.

True Trac Simple Square

Product works as advertised but could be improved. Tool is rough around the edges and would be more user friendly if you didn't have to screw it on the track every time you want to use it. I would recommend rounding the edges and maybe anodizing the tool to make it not only look better but feel better while using.

TruTrac

I've used it for a while now and I love this track system. It works great. The replaceable strips are a little hard to install but other than that it's a great product. The only regret is I wish I had purchased this a long time ago.

Really good slab flattening!

I did try another system before using this and had real issues with getting the boards level on that so dumped it and tried this.
The TrueTrac system is great and I am thrilled with this system and have now flattened 2 boards with it and have a 10 foot walnut slab waiting to get on! I really like the system
A couple of pointers
1. With advice from TrueTracI I used a touch of Johnsons polish to make it glide smoother.
2. I also use the Brora stands underneath for support.
3. Don't trust to the spirit level on the router holder - I found my own 4 foot spirit level gave a better result.
4. I added a 2x6 does the sides of my table for rigidity and give a bit of height and then add boards underneath to bring to the correct height before routing
5. Do get the threaded system - helps to keep you on line - a simple idea but a good solution - I give it 5 turns between each run
6. I got the extension which works smoothly
VERY happy with this and would recommend it over other systems.
I have a big Makata router for this - it didn't fit the standard screw holes but that was no problem TrueTrac sent me a blind replacement and it works perfect

Extremely useful tool

I am a retired physician who always has enjoyed woodworking. I retired to 85 acres, most in hardwoods, and began to make furniture from deadfalls and some harvested trees, hickory, maple, oak, and walnut. In addition, my large family began to request I help them with cabinet makiing; some I could make in my wordworking shop, some site built. Making long straight cuts was problematic; I decided I needed a track saw. The TrueTrack system seemed like a good option, had great reviews, and was a US based business. I bought the 8 ft option and got a battery driven 6 1/2 inch saw with the blade on the left to dedicate as my track saw. Following the instructions, I successfully got the baseplate installed on the saw, although I had to drill from the bottom up through the saw's baseplate to get the screws where I wanted them. I then made a plywood box to store the saw when not in use. While the baseplate is secure to the saw, I am worried that if it gets bumped, and certainly if it gets dropped, the baseplate will break or get out of adjustment. The box is big enough that I can store the track connectors, allen wrench and toggle clamps with the saw, and protect the saw in the back of my truck when I do on-site work.
I have now used the TrueTrac system for building a huge built-in cabinet in a bedroom. I am very happy with the quality of cuts I get, and no longer have to wrestle with long pieces of plywood. I get edges that are better than those I got on a table saw and have no danger of kick-back when cross cutting. My only, very minor complaint, is that the anti-chip strips are so loose in their groves that they move out when the track is moved and may get broken. They do work well in maintaining their position on the plywood while I am cutting, even without the toggle clamps. It is now easy to mark for a cut and position the track for a cut exactly where I want it.
I am DELIGHTED with the quality of this product and am happy to recommend it

useful clamps

As a new user of my TrueTrac I was unsure how well the guide track would stay in place. Especially when ripping 8 ft pieces, I have additional confidence when I use the clamps. They also help me place the guide in the exact right place as they will hold one end when I adjust the other. I was puzzled by the fact that they seemed to get out of adjustment (tightness of clamp) after a few uses, but then found out the bolts holding them to the base were loosening. After tightening them, they held their adjustment. I'm glad I spent the money to have them when I need them.
