This accessory utilizes the exact same track as all of our other products and features a spreading mechanism to remove any play perpendicular to the track itself.
This router jig allows you to measure the wood that you wish to make a dado for, accounting for any and all thickness variations due to unique planing or variations found in all plywood lumber thicknesses. Use either a 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch diameter straight or spiral bit with this system.
The small plates with 1/4 and 3/8 engraved on them correspond to the bit diameter in use. Currently, only 1/4 and 3/8 are available. These small plates are what limit the swing of the pivoting plate after measuring your workpiece and accurately control the width of the dado.
Your router mounts to the plate via a 1 inch Porter-Cable style guide bushing, included with the kit. Your router base plate needs to have the recess available for attaching the guide bushing. Optionally, you may also mount your router directly to the pivot plate in lieu of the base plate already on your router.
A clamping mechanism of some sort is required to hold the track in place while using the dado/router jig, either our Toggle Clamps, Cantilever Style Clamps, or a standard bar clamp will work well.
Additional track saw dado/router jig instructions and info:
- Accepts any 6 to 6-1/2 inch diameter router that can accept industry standard guide bushings
- Dado Width Capacity: 1/4 inch wide to 1 inch wide
- Dado Length Capacity: 16 inches

I already had the TrueTrac Saw system so adding the Router adapter was an easy decision. It was easy to setup (after watching the video and reading the instructions). After a couple of test cuts to dial in the depth and make sure I was setting the width properly I was ready to cut some dados in my workbench top to install T-Track.
